About 25 minutes from your estate, Cueva Ventana delivers one of Puerto Rico’s most photographed views: a natural cave opening, 700 feet up, framing the entire Rio Grande de Arecibo valley like a window built by nature itself. The guided walking tour takes you through the cave’s dramatic interior before depositing you at that famous ledge — green hills, winding river and sky stretching out below.
Helmets and flashlights are provided and required, and the path involves some rock scrambling, so wear closed shoes and expect a bit of an adventure along the way. Tours run about 90 minutes and are offered in English and Spanish, making it an easy excursion to book for the whole group, including teens who’ll want the photo for themselves.
Reservations are required and tours fill up, especially on weekends, so book a few days ahead.
